3/10/2024 0 Comments Tranter serial numbersAn interesting pistol, considerably rarer than it's English counterpart. 455 Mark II Hand Ejector Second Model began in 1915 and continued until 1917 with serial numbers following on from the First model starting at serial number. Tranter double action revolver with case and accessories 0.44 caliber. Very Crisp Near Grade One with 90% plus original charcoal blue finish. The pistol with minor surface rust speckling. Oil bottle, chamois leather cap bag and turn screw. Outstanding Condition 120 Bore Tranter Revolver Serial No 22082T, in its original mahogany case with full compliment of original accessories all in fine. Accessories include a good bag shaped powder flask with common top (most lacquer), correct double cavity tailed bullet/ball mould having Adams Patent oval "registered" stamp. In it's original oak case lined in green baize, the inside lid with Deane, Adams & Deane label. It was some markings, but no name that I can make out. Chequered walnut grip and engraved butt cap with trap cover. I am hoping for some information on this older style large frame, single action revolver. charcoal blued frame engraved with foliage and - ADAM'S PATENT NO.4201 - and - ADAM'S 1851 PATENT - oval stamp. Charcoal blued octagonal barrel, the top flat engraved - MANUF'ED BY C.DANDOY LIEGE LICENSED BY DEANE, ADAMS & DEANE. A RARE Cased Belgian Licensed copy of the 56 Bore Adams Model 1851 self cocking percussion revolver.
